When people start talking about vacation spots, very few mention Toronto, Canada. Their loss. This city is gorgeous! The more time I spend there, the more often I think of consulting an immigration lawyer toronto to find a way to stay. That’s how it makes me feel.
I’m a sports fan, so I want a city that is going to compete. The Toronto Blue Jays won back to back World Series victories in 1992 and 1993. The city also hosts professional NBA and NHL teams with the Raptors and the Maple Leafs. The Argonauts play in the Canadian Football League so you have year-round sports.
Toronto is also one of the most ethnically diverse cities in Canada. Many cultures are represented with local festivals and restaurants. There is a fantastic Chinatown area that is the largest in North America. Caribana is the largest Caribbean festival in North America. It runs over two weeks in July and can draw as many a 2 million visitors. Luminato is a 10-day festival in June which draw artists, dancers, musicians, and authors from around the world.
The culture goes beyond festivals. The Royal Ontario Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario, know locally as the ROM and the AGO, are world class institutions. Fort York, built by the British after the American Revolution, holds a huge amount of relics from the War of 1812. Rumor has it that it’s also haunted! Finally, getting back to sports, Toronto hosts the Ice Hockey Hall of Fame.
The people are friendly and the summers are mild. For my money, you can’t beat spending a vacation in Toronto.
